This is ARE, a student association based in Copenhagen. Through organised talks, panel discussions, workshops as well as protests our mission is to raise awareness about equal access to free education for refugees and asylum seekers in Denmark.

Currently, we are working on two main projects:

1. We organized a series of events at universities all across Denmark together with teh Danske Studerendes Fællesråd (DSF) to inform students about the (in)equal access of refugees to education. We are focussing especially on 7.3 status refugees (temporary protection status) who have to pay tuition fees should they want to enter any form of higher education.

2. Twice a month we visit Sjælsmark (a deportation centre just outside Copenhagen) to give English workshops to teenagers and young adults.
