ARE is a student association based in Copenhagen, taking action to enable refugees and asylum seekers access to education.

NEWS

In three years Ahîn learned fluent Danish and passed the high school with an average grade of 10,6. But because she is only has a temporary protection status. she has to pay for a higher education herself. She can't afford that.

More than 4,000 refugees in Denmark do not have free access to education. Legislation is unbalanced and unfair – affecting women in particular.
